My Week in Review

Posted by: Leisa  :  Category: Dancing Through History

New iLearningGlobal WebsiteThis week has been quite productive.  First of all, I finished up the iLearningGlobal website I have been working on, for both ourselves and for members of our team.   It took me quite a while because I had been so busy with the launch of Rich Women Sisterhood.  By the way, I highly recommend you take a look at iLearningGlobal as both a way to increase your education, and as a way to increase your income.

I also began a new work-out routine, thanks to a little inspiration for the Aging Backwards coach. Jackie Silver is Aging Backwards and teaching me to do the same.   I’m happy to say I worked out every day this week.  No take that back, I missed one day, but that day I got quite a work-out in the kitchen.  More about that in a minute.

My first assignment was to start a regular and consistent exercise routine.  I used to be in FANTASTIC shape, and excited to be that way again.  I was a ballet dancer, and used to run 10 miles aday.  But then illness stuck and I was injured in several car accidents. After rehab I haven’t really gotten back into the fitness routine.  I’m happy to say that has changed.  It feels great to be exercising again.

Jackie has a book Aging Backwards I recommend.  Be sure to visit her website as well for some Aging Backwards Tips. When you see her photo you’ll be amazed to learn her age.

Most of my time this week was spent in the kitchen…

I picked up a case of chicken breasts this week and prepared 21 main dishes for the freezer.  But I couldn’t fit them in the freezer.  Someone had left the freezer door open and our freezer had frosted over.

In order to defrost it I put the food in coolers and boxes and stored it outside while I chipped away the bulk of the ice with a rubber mallet and let the rest the ice thaw.  Well, unluckily, we got a little warm streak and quite a bit of the frozen food had thawed. So I then had to spend three more days in the kitchen cooking up a storm and stalking the freezers with more meals.

Still I lost a lot of food as I just couldn’t get to it all.  One of the things I am most sad about losing is the dozens and dozens of eggs that were divided up for baking.  Just thaw and mix in.

I kept up with my self-education reading quite a bit, and watching the following iLearningGlobal videos, and writing reviews for most.

Empowered Entrepreneurship by Debbie Allen
Build Powerful Alliances by Debbie Allen
Purposeful Play by Kevin Carroll
Your State in the Economy by Garrett Gunderson
Customer Loyalty by Tony Alessandra

Take Charge of Your Life by Brian Tracy

Thursday evening we went to see my son perform in Oklahoma at the local high school.  I was very impressed with the quality of the play, particularly since it was a high school production. But the school is well known for their fantastic musicals.

We also attended again Saturday night as we had extra tickets and my daughters really wanted to go again.

Saturday morning found me on a conference call withe the writers for Rich Women Sisterhood and the editor.  I reviewed the status of the site, and answered questions.
