Joshua Driggs - AKA The Zap WizardI’ve just got to take a few minutes to tell you that I’ve got an incredible family! Since this blog is related to personal matters I thought it would be fun to feature some of my family members. My first featured sibling is Joshua Driggs, aka The Zap Wizard, my youngest brother. Joshua is a technical genius. You’ll soon see why I call him that…

He has developed several award winning products that I’d like to tell you about…

First of all, Josh designed a product that just won the 2009 Innovations Design and Engineering Award From Consumer Electronics Association. It’s a NetStreams touch pad audio controller that can easily be modified to match any decor. Here’s an article at MarketWatch.com on it, a bloggers review, and some images:netstreams_5f00_touchlinx_5f00_teaser_5f00_small

Now, on to some of his other work…

Josh made a name for himself in the modding world (make modifications to existing technology). He’s actually had people gravel to their knees and bow at some of the technology/computer modification conventions.

Here’s some samples of his work…

He created an award-winning PC out of an ammo case that was featured on TechTV, in PC Extreme Magazine and Media PC.

One of his latest projects, I believe, was something to do with an designing maps for an online gaming community using a new computer language. I’ll post more info on that as I find it out more details. You can see screenshots at Flickr.

Josh has done all of this without much formal training. Much of what he does is self-taught.
